I’m Lucas Vetsch, an independent Swiss graphic designer in Zurich. No agency here. No juniors or middlemen. Just me and 27 years of solid training.

I finished a tough four-year apprenticeship in Basel. During that time, I soaked up the Swiss International Style from legends like Armin Hofmann and Emil Ruder. Because of that strong base, precision still drives my work. I focus on typography, grids, minimalism, and clean sans-serif type—like Helvetica, you know.

So I stay solo on purpose. This keeps everything direct and powerful. For example, I create timeless brand identities and visual systems. I also design editorial layouts, packaging, and web concepts.

Beyond static work, I’m passionate about photography and motion—filming and crafting music videos from concept to post-production. Whether capturing raw moments in stills or directing/editing rhythmic visuals (like the Trenchent video for Owen Sound or title design for documentaries), I bring the same Swiss precision to every frame.

My clients include startups, big global brands, and foundations such as the Hilti Foundation. Plus, I’ve handled ethical work like Atinkana and cultural projects like the documentary Die Unsichtbaren.

Ultimately, great design solves real problems with simple restraint. Therefore, it lasts across print and digital. It’s functional and sustainable. It’s built to endure. Ready to craft something elegant together?

My typical flow

We start with a quick discovery call. I listen, sketch concepts, refine with your input, then deliver polished files ready for print/digital. Fixed scopes, clear milestones—no surprises.
